Outage!

It looks as though our web host had a transformer fire at one of their datacenters. This caused our Domain Name Servers to fail. Our hosts have moved DNS to a new location, but because of DNS propagation, some heights users may be down for up to 48 hours.
There is not much we can do to speed things up at this point, and we are at the mercy of our host.

Hey all,
After noticing considerable traffic increases, and hi IO utilization, we are in the process of upgrading the heights servers, so if you notice heights disappearing off the interwebs for a bit, don't worry we'll be back.
I'll post more details as the upgrade path continues!

Outage.

As you are all aware, the heights server experienced an outage last night that lasted until today.
There was a hard disk controller failure on the server, which required emergency service. This was completed within an hour, once the server was restarted, Linux demanded an fsck be run. The fsck took nearly 9 hours to complete, and until that time everything was locked out (Linux FTL!)
Everything should be back to normal now.
