lookin good ly!
from knowing how this line of work is done first hand, i can see that everything is being done properly, and whomever is doing the repairs, has patience, which is highly neglected in this trade these days unfortunately. and they are very passionate of their work.
that being said, this is a car that i can easily respect and can say right now, i can appreciate the the work put into it.
and that color, ....... mint! will look good on that car
so, good luck with the build, hope it turns out well for you!
p.s. hurry up, my build is gonna be done soon and i need more old school cars to cruise with lol
jk, take your time, dont rush for anything (personal motto)

Does 'rahachi' translate as 'cupcakes'?
And if so, in what language?

Why do you want to run spacers? Why not get wheels that fit properly?
I know you've been crazy about these cars for a long time. Glad to see you're making progress.
Trevor.

Lawls, no it doesnt. if anything, "cupcake" in japanese would probably be something like "capcaku", nyahaha. rahachi doesnt really mean anything in any language. "hachi" means the number eight and "roku" means the number six, so hachi roku would literally translate to 86 --> AE86. the story of how the word "rahachi" came about was that i was having a conversation with someone one day about the ae86, and things were getting really heated and i tried to say "hachi roku" really fast but it came out as "rahachi". i was made fun of for my slip-up for a while and it was getting really annoying but it eventually grew on me. soooooo when it came time to name the baby, i guess rahachi was an instinctive choice

im too poor for new wheel at this point. but apparently my dad wants to get me a new set of rims. he says that my 3 spoke advans make him feel old and that they look gay. i strongly disagree cuz i LOVE my rims, and also because i refuse to take anything that's been handed to me on a silver platter. buuuuuuuuut if i can find those exact ones but deep dish, i'd totally get em. if it was somewhere in the somewhat far future and i have money, MAYBE.

Wow, when you were telling me you had a lot of bodywork ahead of you I thought you were exaggerating. Clearly you weren't. Everything is coming together nicely. Keep it up. Although I am disappointed you ditched the super sweet brown and orange interior. I think I should put mine back in now.

Your Advans are 14" right? I can't remember if they're 3-piece, I'm pretty sure they are. If so you can get just the outer shells made. OR find another set of 3-piece wheels that have the same shell bolt pattern and use whatever combination you want to get the right width and offset. Make sense? Yeah I thought it would. Or you can give them to me! I don't mind things on a silver platter.

The funny part about this thread is that I've only posted HALF of the progress pics :P the rest of the pics are the rust patches I didn't post. Bwahaha
